Senator Victor Umeh Visits Obosi Erosion Site
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Dr Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) today visited the site of the gully erosion devastating parts of Obosi community in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, promising to increase efforts in ensuring that work is sustained at the site to ensure no further wreckage affected buildings.
In his words, Senator Victor Umeh expressed satisfaction with the pace of work being done at the site by the World Bank and Governor Willie Obiano's commitment in recovering the numerous portions of the state where erosions have claimed and displaced residents. He assured the people of Obosi (especially Mrs Theresa Okoye, whose house had lost parts of its foundation to the erosion) that he would not relent in using his office (as Senator representing Anambra Central) in accessing every opportunity within the senate in resolving the unfortunate situation.
