d the cut off marks to gain admission in all Nigerian Tertiary Institutions for 2018.
He revealed this while chatting with Newsmen yesterday at JAMB Headquarters Abuja.
Oloyede mentioned that a Central Admission Processing System(CAPS) would be adopted to regularize the processes of admission into all Tertiary Institutions in the Federation.
He further stressed that the cut off marks varies; candidates must have the minimum score of 180 to gain admission into the Nigerian Universities, 150 for Polytechnics, 100 for Colleges and 110 for Innovative and Enterprising Institutes.
Furthermore, all Tertiary Institutions reserve the right to increase the 2018 JAMB cut off marks above the minimum mark endorsed by JAMB.
He also noted that the candidates vying to study Agriculture in Tertiary Institutions were low while Medicine and Sciences increased this year.
Moreover, this admission process is automatic and all candidates must be approved by JAMB Registrar consequently to erupting illegal admissions.
However, the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu once declared a cancellation of the ban of Post-UTME examination as a prerequisite for gaining admission into all Tertiary Institutions, and after the ban cancellation, schools can now freely conduct the examination which fee must not exceed #2000.
Adamu assured Nigerians that vast number of candidates will be admitted to all Tertiary Institutions this year.
