THE EFFECTS OF THUMB SUCKING AND NAIL BITING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
From the history of the primary school children, thumb sucking and nail biting have been a barrier and also a means of distraction to some pupils mode of learning. Today in primary schools, a teacher will be in class of about thirty pupils discussing on a particular topic, every students ought to give the teacher a maximum attention but even at that, some maybe busy looking at the passers-sby, while some may as well be busy licking their tongue, sucking their thumbs and biting their nails as well. For example thumb sucking which is said to be socially accepted behavior among the infants and toddlers and that is why some philosophers often discourage parents to prevent thumb sucking in children up to 3years of age, believing that by the age of 5years most children are able to overcome their desire to suck their thumb in face of other on coming socials, behavioral and developmental demands and the older children who continue to suck their thumb, do it just as a habit and today this same scourge have been a challenge to some school children who are yet to overcome the habits.
Meanwhile, is of no doubt that today in many Nursery/primary schools many children don’t and no longer apply listenening ear to their respective teachers because of the said bad habits that will divert their minds and attentions to the colony of hallucinations.  Both thumb sucking and nail biting posses’ bad effects to some students mode of learning/understanding, and the effects is as follows;
Every child found with this habit must always posses lost memory
A nursery school child fond of thumb sucking will always feel lonely and will always love to be alone for he/she will be shy to practice the bad habit in the face of his fellow pupils.
Again, every school child who have formed the habit of nail biting is capable of wounding or damaging his/her nails.
And when a child is called out in front of their class to sum mathematics, and such a child started biting his nail with the purpose of recalling the formula, just bear in mind that before he could finish solving the question his hands with marker will be molded with the spit gushing out from his mouth while biting his nail.
Every school child fond of thumb sucking can always fail any question  been thrown to her by her teacher and can easily fail any form of examination because when the teacher will be busy solving the topics to the pupils understanding and her mind and attention will be centered mostly on nothing less than hallucination.
Finally I strongly believe that the above enlisted topics is a threat to educational system and to school children who have been indebted to the ill habits and can no longer over fhe said habits again and that’s just the little idea I can share about the topic, and if you think mine isn’t enough then include your own idea as well,
