Governor Willie Obiano receives victorious Anambra Debate Team from Indonesia, By Kenechukwu Ofomah The reception took place during today's State Executive Council meeting at the governor's Lodge, Amawbia. He rewarded them with cash gifts and scholarship. The Anambra Debate Team which represented Nigeria won the just concluded World Schools Debating Championship in Bally, Indonesia where 53 countries participated. The team comprised 3 students of Anambra origin received cash prize of 100,000 each while their two coaches got 150, 000 each. Also at the EXCO today, Governor Obiano received 2 pupils of Primary schools from the state who scored 189 out of 200 in this year's Federal Common Entrance Examinations. Each of the pupils received 50, 000 Naira, secondary school scholarship and University scholarship, subject to their performances.
