Ozubulu church re-opens for service today
Ozubulu Catholic Church Re-opens for Worship!
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, His. Lordship, Most. Rev. Dr. Hilary Okeke has blessed and rededicated St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Ozubulu which was where armed men invaded last Sunday, shooting sporadically to killing over a dozen and injuring even more.
The desecration of the place of worship which is a sacrilege before God and before all mankind is the worse evil that has befallen entire Christians down in the South East Nigeria, a people mostly known to be Christians. It was truly an inglorious and heartbreaking dastardly act of cowardice. For all that it's worth, for heaven's sake, not in the house of God, not in the place of worship.
Today, barely a week after that sad incident which took lives of worshippers, now Martyrs of Ozubulu, religious activities will resume fully again. There will be morning mass as usual.
It's sad remembering how people left their homes in droves, even under the early morning rain and cold to come for mass and this unfortunate evil befell them.
We pray heavens to repose the souls of the dead and grant their loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable loss.
Never again, Ozoemezina!
